ESS Tech Conversion and Jitter Elimination

Accurate digital-to-analog conversion is essential for evaluating spatial depth and instrument separation. The DHA V380-2 utilizes a high-end 32-bit ESS Tech ES9026 PRO converter, providing an outstanding dynamic range of 124 dB. The implementation of an ultra-precise internal clock virtually eliminates jitter, allowing recording engineers to monitor high-resolution audio files up to 384 kHz PCM and DSD 512 with absolute confidence and clarity.

50V High-Voltage Rails and Pre-Gain Management

Effectively driving power-hungry planar magnetic headphones while ensuring a pitch-black noise floor for sensitive in-ear monitors (IEMs) is a common challenge. The DHA V380-2 operates on 50V internal rails, capable of outputting a massive 5000 mW. To accommodate varying transducer sensitivities, the unit features a hardware Pre-Gain system on the rear panel (-18 to +18 dB). This allows the engineer to align the gain staging perfectly, ensuring maximum dynamic resolution without any audible hiss, while keeping the ALPS RK27 potentiometer in its optimal operating range.
