White Angel SynthesiserSoma Lyra-8 White Angel, an extremely expressive and organic-sounding Drone Synthesiser in desktop format.

The

all-analogue instrument features eight waveform oscillators that can be used individually with their own envelope, but also combined for complex FM sounds.

Lyra-8 White Angel is optionally

played

with an open VCA (Drone mode) or 16 highly sensitive sensors under the oscillators. Each represents a pair of contacts-the top one triggers the envelope and the bottom one the pitch controller. Both keys are so sensitive that the speed, intensity and duration of the press have a significant effect on the sound. Even environmental influences, such as higher humidity, affect the sensors.

Number 8 lives

!For modulation, there is a Dual LFO with two simultaneously used frequencies. It is also possible to switch whether one or both are effective and whether the second LFO should modulate the first. Complex? No, actually onlyHyper LFO. Further modulations are possible at oscillator level, either additive or instead of an LFO: in pairs, the two oscillators affect a different tone generator, of course this also works with larger groups.

EffectsThe final

element is the sound generated by the White Angel Soma Lyra-8 Synthesiser via Dual Delay with distortion attached. The two timelines are separately adjustable and, if required, can be set into self-oscillation to create resonant and pulsating carpets of sound. The timelines can also be modulated with varying intensity by the LFO. Transformer sounds,FlangerSounds and everything you could want "Dub"...it can be achieved in the blink of an eye". The post-delay distortion unit makes a huge contribution to the possible sound design.

Control voltagesIf you

want more external control, you can control the Soma Lyra-8 Drone Synthesizer with, for example, a sequencer from the modular system in terms of pitch and note length, and additionally modulate the delay time with another external CV source.

Audio inputThanks to the

audio input, this instrument is perfect for editing from other sources, such as a drum machine. The actual synth part is bypassed, but the signal flows directly through the double delay and distortion.
