Solton DX 48 is a four-channel power amplifier built for fixed installations and smaller touring rigs, where predictable operation and straightforward handling matter more than raw headroom. It delivers 800 W per channel into 8 ohms and 1200 W per channel into 4 ohms, holding a 20 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response within 0.5 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 112 dB. Power comes in through a PowerCon connector with the cable included, making rack wiring quick and secure.

Straightforward Four-Channel Setup

Each of the four channels has independent level control on the front panel, and stereo or mono mode is selected per channel from the rear panel, without switching the whole unit into a bridged configuration. A damping factor above 500 at 8 ohms and 1 kHz gives solid control over low-frequency drivers, which matters over the longer cable runs typical of fixed installations.

Protection Built for the Road

A full protection set covering DC voltage, short circuits, overheating, inrush current, and input and output overload keeps both the amplifier and connected speakers safe without operator intervention. Soft startup limits inrush current when several units power up at once, which matters in larger installations running from a central rack supply. Balanced XLR inputs with 20 kOhm impedance keep the connection stable to a console or loudspeaker processor over longer cable runs.
