Dave Smith Instruments Prophet-6 Desktop – 6-voice analog desktop synthe29718sizer with a fully analog signal path (VCO–VCF–VCA), 44 knobs, onboard effects including digital Delay, Reverb, Chorus, Phaser, and analog distortion, plus arpeggiator and step sequencer.

The Prophet-6 Desktop delivers the classic Sequential sound in a compact format, combining a vintage voice architecture with modern reliability and flexibility. Its interface gives direct access to all key parameters without submenus, while the Preset mode ensures what you see is what you hear, reflecting knob positions in real time.

It features two discrete VCOs per voice (12 total), continuously variable wave shapes, suboscillator, and white noise. The sound is shaped by a 4-pole low-pass filter inspired by the original Prophet-5 and a 2-pole high-pass filter. The dual digital effects engine includes stereo BBD delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, and more, while an independent analog distortion adds extra warmth and grit.

The onboard step sequencer supports up to 64 steps and real-time or step input. The arpeggiator includes multiple playback modes and time divisions. The modulation section includes Poly Mod and an LFO with five waveforms, enabling deep modulation routing. With 1000 total presets (500 user, 500 factory), USB and MIDI I/O, CV inputs for pedals, and walnut side panels, the Prophet-6 Desktop is a powerful blend of vintage tone and modern workflow.
