sE Electronics RN17 – small-diaphragm condenser studio microphone, collaboration between sE and Rupert Neve. Features interchangeable cardioid capsule (optional omni, super, hyper, figure-8), 17 mm gold-sputtered Mylar, and unique large hand-wound Neve transformer for clarity and warmth across all frequencies. Frequency response 20 Hz–25 kHz, SPL up to 150 dB, low noise. Ideal for acoustic instruments, drums, orchestras, and stereo recording, with natural, open sound without typical SDC coldness.

The device excels with Neve transformer character, adding weight and solidity without tonal shift, in sturdy body with custom shockmount.
