The CMC 6 U amplifier is the core of the Colette system, known for its exceptionally low noise, distortion-free signal path, and reliable performance even under demanding conditions. It operates with either 12V or 48V phantom power, providing balanced, low-impedance output and excellent rejection of electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference thanks to the integrated RFI Shield. Its symmetrical, transformerless class-A output stage ensures maximum transparency and signal stability, even with long cable runs. Above 20 kHz, a protective attenuation prevents interference from ultrasonic sources, such as camera autofocus systems.
The included MK 4 capsule is Schoeps’ most widely used cardioid capsule, featuring consistent directionality across all frequencies and an exceptionally flat frequency response.
