RME HDSPe AES– 32-channel PCI Express card with 8× AES/EBU I/O (16×16 up to 192 kHz), Word Clock I/O (BNC), 2× MIDI I/O, TotalMix FX mixer (without FX DSP) and SteadyClock FS clock; the main board provides 4× AES + Word Clock, and the included expansion card adds another 4× AES and a MIDI socket (2× I/O).
HDSPe AESwas designed as a professional digital center for studio, broadcast, and installations. The card provides eight pairs of AES/EBU (in/out) on D-sub 25 connectors (Tascam pinout), operates in Single/Double/Quad Wire modes, and cannativelywork at 192 kHz with the full number of channels, as well as convert between formats. SteadyClock FS provides effective jitter suppression, and TotalMix allows for flexible routing of 16 inputs and 16 playback to 16 outputs, with independent submixes.
On the main card, there are Word Clock In/Out (BNC) and D-sub 25 (AES 1–4), on the expansion board – a second D-sub 25 (AES 5–8) and a mini-DIN for the included 2× MIDI I/O splitter. The optional TCO module adds LTC/Video synchronization. The PCIe x1 interface (rev. 1.1) operates in full duplex and offers very low latency.
