PreSonus AIR XD Sub 18 – an active PA subwoofer with a custom 18" low-frequency driver (3" voice coil), 2,000 W peak Class-D amplifier, advanced DSP with a 2.6" full-color LCD, variable lowpass filter (60–150 Hz), cardioid and end-fire array presets, and Bluetooth TWS Bridge Mode. The AIR XD Sub 18 is designed for both mobile PA and permanent installs – event venues, clubs, theatres and touring rigs. The 18" driver with an enlarged 3" voice coil provides efficient heat dissipation and clean power handling at high continuous levels, extending down to 33 Hz at –10 dB. The 2,000 W Class-D amplifier delivers 130 dB maximum SPL with consistent headroom and low distortion across demanding, long-duration applications.

DSP and array configurations without manual calculations

The DSP section with 2.6" full-color LCD provides fast access to all system parameters. The variable lowpass filter (60–150 Hz) lets you dial in the crossover point to match any full-range top without an external processor. Alignment delay up to 12 metres compensates for the time offset between the subwoofer and full-range speakers placed at different distances. Cardioid and end-fire array presets reduce manual phase and delay calculations to a few button presses, concentrating low-frequency energy toward the audience and reducing stage spill. A "Mo' Bass" mode extends low-frequency energy for applications where additional impact is required. Polarity invert is also available.

Connectivity and portability

Two combo XLR/1/4" inputs with direct Mix Out XLR outputs handle flexible signal routing to additional speakers or a mixer. Bluetooth TWS Bridge Mode enables wireless audio streaming and stereo pairing with a second AIR XD unit – no additional hardware or cables required, useful for corporate events and mobile setups. The 15 mm wood enclosure with ergonomic side handles, ground-stacking guides and built-in hardware for the included caster kit supports fast transport and deployment in ground-stacked, arrayed or permanently installed configurations.
