PMC MB3S XBD-A — flagship active 3-way reference monitor system with ATL™ technology, featuring extended low-frequency response from 20 Hz to 25 kHz, maximum SPL of 129 dB, and total amplifier power of 3225 W per channel. The system includes a twin-cabinet design with a dedicated XBD unit housing an additional 12-inch Radial bass driver.

The PMC MB3S XBD-A is built for the most demanding studio environments, including mastering suites, dubbing stages, and high-end production rooms. The XBD cabinet adds 3 dB of headroom below the crossover point at 380 Hz, delivering greater low-end control and smoother overall frequency response without the need for an external subwoofer. Cabinets can be positioned vertically or side-by-side and mounted freestanding or soffit-installed, offering flexibility for any studio layout.

Each channel features two 12-inch PMC Radial drivers for the low end, a hand-built 75 mm soft-dome midrange driver, and a 34 mm soft-dome tweeter with acoustic radiator for precise high frequencies. Dedicated Class-D amplification powers each band separately: 2400 W for lows, 550 W for mids, and 275 W for highs. Digital AES3 input (24-bit/96 kHz), gain trim, filter settings, and full DSP configuration offer maximum control and integration with professional systems.
