Ortofon Stylus GT is a robust replacement stylus engineered for DJs, featuring an 8 mV output, spherical stylus, and a sturdy build for scratch and back-cueing. It's designed for high performance in demanding environments.
The Stylus GT, developed in collaboration with SWS Audio GmbH, builds upon the Ortofon Series 500's reliable design. Intended for standard half-inch mounting, it showcases a black housing with white print. This stylus incorporates components from the Scratch series, ensuring enhanced durability and dependability. It delivers an output of 8 mV, coupled with an improved frequency response, resulting in higher resolution and superior audio quality. Crucial for DJs, particularly those engaged in scratching and back-cueing, the stylus exhibits a tracking ability of 80 μm. Although increasing tracking force is a common tactic, it is not always effective. The GT features a reinforced cantilever rubber suspension to withstand drops and accidental contact. It's also recommended that antiskating adjustment be limited to half the tracking force setting.
