Neumann TLM 102 is a compact large-diaphragm condenser microphone that brings the legendary Neumann sound to smaller studios. Designed and built in Germany with the same attention to detail as its high-end counterparts, the TLM 102 combines technical precision, modern design, and beautifully balanced tonality. It’s ideal for silky vocals, detailed guitars, and punchy drums — all in a small, affordable package.

The newly developed large-diaphragm capsule delivers a clear, focused, and natural sound across the entire frequency range, with a gentle boost around 10 kHz for airy, smooth highs. Its well-controlled proximity effect enhances warmth and depth for close-miked vocals and instruments. The cardioid pickup pattern ensures accurate sound capture while effectively rejecting unwanted background noise.

Technically, the TLM 102 offers exceptional performance: an ultra-low self-noise of just 12 dB-A and the ability to handle sound pressure levels up to 144 dB SPL without distortion. The transformerless output stage guarantees full, powerful bass and uncompromised transient response, making this microphone equally suitable for home recording, broadcast, and live use.
