Native Instruments KOMPLETE KONTROL A61 is a MIDI keyboard and tightly integrated system for music production and performance that provides, among other things, all sounds from KOMPLETE and Native Control Standard (NKS) through the included KOMPLETE KONTROL software. KOMPLETE KON TROL A61 offers advanced integration with multiple hosts and provides full control over any NKS-supported Instruments from Native Instruments and partners. KOMPLETE KONTROL A61 allows intuitive browsing of instruments, loops, one-shots and effects for the user to creatively play with KOMPLETE KONTROL's unique Scale engine and arpeggiator.

The buttons and knobs on the Komplete Kontrol keyboard are divided into the following groups:

The Perform and edit section is located in the top left corner of the keyboard. It contains six buttons, which are arranged in two rows.
The buttons in the first row are (from left to right):

Transport

is located directly below the Perform and Edit sections. It contains six buttons arranged in two rows.
The buttons in the first row are (from left to right):

The buttons in the second row are (from left to right):
  • PLAY (Restart)
  • REC (Countdown)
  • STOP
The Solo and Mute buttons are located to the right of the Transport section. There are two buttons arranged in a row.
The buttons are (from left to right):

The preset buttons are located at the bottom right of the Perform and Edit section, above Solo and Mute. The four buttons are arranged in a column. \
The buttons are (from top to bottom):
  • PRESET Up

The Control section is located in the middle of the Komplete Kontrol keyboard. It contains eight knobs. The knobs are arranged in a row directly above the keyboard.
The navigation buttons are located in the top right corner of the Komplete Kontrol keyboard.
The three buttons are arranged in a single row (from left to right):
  • TRANSPOSITION
  • CUTTLE
The 4-D encoder is located directly below the navigation buttons. The transposition buttons are located on the left side of the keyboard, next to the keyboard and directly above the Pitch and Modulation wheels. The two buttons are arranged in a row.

TheKOMPLETE KONTROL A61 offers a set of accessibility features for blind users. The functions concerned are located on the keyboard itself. Speech via computer is also available:
  • Execute, Transpose, Page Left/Right and navigation buttons.
  • All browser functions
  • Current editing mode, including the Plug-in panel and Execute panel (Scale, Arp)
  • Names of parameters and parameter sections when touching the dials, including all editing modes
