Two Different MADI Systems From One 3d Unit
Studios working simultaneously with local MADI gear — a console in the same room, say — and a remote system connected over greater distance usually need two separate expansion cards or two intermediary devices. The 1x Copper/1x Optical card solves this with a single EdgeBus slot — the copper port handles the nearby connection without needing optical conversion, while the fiber port simultaneously carries a second link over longer distance or to a system requiring galvanic isolation, both running independently and at the same time.Routing Flexibility Without a Channel-Count Compromise
