Mackie Thump Go is a battery-powered active PA loudspeaker built around an 8-inch driver, designed for performers and DJs who need professional-grade sound wherever a power outlet isn't an option.
The driver configuration pairs an 8-inch ferrite woofer with a 1-inch polymer compression driver, powered by a 200-watt peak Class-D amplifier. Maximum SPL reaches 115 dB, with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). The removable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 12 hours of runtime per charge – and because the battery is hot-swappable, back-to-back sets with a spare pack are entirely viable without access to mains power.
Four voicing modes and a built-in mixer
The integrated 2-channel mixer accepts two XLR/TRS combo inputs plus a 3.5 mm mini-jack on channel 2, covering microphone, line-level instrument, and a media device simultaneously. Four DSP presets – Music, Live, Monitor, and Sub – reshape the frequency response at the push of a button. Sub mode hands low-end duties to an external subwoofer (such as the Mackie Thump Sub Go) and refocuses the Thump Go on mids and highs. Monitor mode works in tandem with the enclosure's 45-degree bevel for floor wedge deployment. The Feedback Eliminator handles nasty squeals automatically, while Music Ducking drops channel 2 whenever a mic signal hits channel 1 – no manual fader moves mid-set.
Bluetooth 5.0, app control, and stereo linking
Bluetooth 5.0 handles both audio streaming and remote control via the Thump Connect 2 app (iOS and Android), putting EQ, channel levels, and voicing modes on your phone from anywhere in the room. Two Thump Go units can be wirelessly paired for stereo playback. The XLR mix output allows traditional cable daisy-chaining to a second speaker or subwoofer when the wireless option isn't preferred.
