Repeatable Stereo Geometry Without Re-Measuring Every Time

Building an X/Y or ORTF pair from two separate stands makes it hard to reproduce the exact same spacing and angle between microphones on the next setup, introducing unwanted variability in the stereo image from session to session. LCT 40 M2 solves this with sliding mounts on a 20cm bar, letting the exact distance and angle between both capsules be set precisely and then reproduced identically on every subsequent setup — no calipers, tape measure, or eyeballed angle required.

Single-Stand Mounting Instead of Two

The usual fallback for stereo recording is two separate stands placed side by side, which takes up more room onstage or in a tracking space and makes it harder to quickly relocate the whole array. The LCT 40 M2 mounts both capsules on a single stand via 3/8" and 5/8" threads, letting the entire configured stereo pair move in one motion, with no need to re-set the geometry between microphones every time the location changes.
