Zero Proximity Effect and Forgiving Placement

Maintaining a consistent distance from the sound source is often impossible during dynamic field interviews. Utilizing an omnidirectional polar pattern entirely eliminates the proximity effect. The vocal tonality remains natural and consistent, free of overwhelming low-frequency buildup, even if the subject holds the microphone directly against their lips. The wide pickup angle also drastically simplifies capturing dialogue between two people with a single microphone, heavily forgiving off-axis positioning by the reporter.
