KLOTZ GRG1FM05.0

Klotz GRG1FM05.0 is a 5-metre microphone cable from the GREYHOUND series, terminated with KLOTZ XLR 3-pin female and male connectors featuring nickel-plated metal shells and nickel-plated contacts. The 2x 0.22 mm² (AWG 24) ETP oxygen-free copper core with spiral shielding and a rugged 6 mm diameter PVC jacket succeeds the GRK1FM series, updated in 2018 with a new metal XLR connector developed exclusively for the GREYHOUND line. The series covers the full range of stage and rehearsal applications in lengths from 0.5 m to 10 m and is available exclusively in black.

5 metres — microphone to stagebox at close-source configurations

Five metres suits applications where the stagebox or console microphone input is positioned close to the performer — small stages, rehearsal rooms, home recording setups with a microphone near the interface, or compact PA systems with the mixer at the front. The 99.95% ETP oxygen-free copper core at 0.22 mm² delivers reliable microphone signal transmission without resistive losses that would be audible with standard dynamic or condenser microphones. Spiral shielding rejects electromagnetic interference from power supplies and stage lighting. The rugged 6 mm PVC jacket retains flexibility through repeated coiling and does not develop permanent kinks under intensive regular use.

Improved XLR connector, same proven core spec — more mechanical quality at the same price point

The metal XLR shells of the GRG series were designed exclusively for the GREYHOUND line and differ from the previous GRK1FM version through a shortened bushing and improved grip ergonomics — relevant when connecting multiple cables quickly in poor backstage lighting or during a fast stage reconfiguration. The 2x 0.22 mm² conductor cross-section is identical to that used in KLOTZ microphone cables from higher-tier series, meaning GREYHOUND does not compromise on cable electrical performance — the cost efficiency comes from the simplified connector specification and production location, not from reduced conductor quality. Designed by KLOTZ AIS in Germany, produced in China by KLOTZ AIS.
