Klotz GRG1FM03.0 is a 3-metre microphone cable from the GREYHOUND series, terminated with KLOTZ XLR 3-pin female and male connectors featuring nickel-plated metal shells and nickel-plated contacts. The 2x 0.22 mm² (AWG 24) ETP oxygen-free copper core with spiral shielding and a rugged 6 mm diameter PVC jacket succeeds the GRK1FM series, updated in 2018 with a new metal XLR connector developed exclusively for the GREYHOUND line — featuring a shortened bushing and improved grip ergonomics. Three metres covers the typical distances in small rehearsal rooms when the microphone is positioned directly near the interface or console input, in desktop recording setups, on small acoustic stages with microphones close to the stagebox, and as a spare cable in a technical kit. The 99.95% ETP oxygen-free copper core at 0.22 mm² — identical to the conductor specification used in higher-tier KLOTZ microphone cables — delivers reliable, low-loss microphone signal transmission without any electrical compromise resulting from the GREYHOUND series' simplified connector and production specification. Spiral shielding rejects electromagnetic interference from power supplies and stage lighting. The rugged 6 mm PVC jacket retains flexibility through intensive daily use without permanent kinking.
Metal XLR shell and shortened bushing — fast connection under any conditions
The new metal XLR shell developed exclusively for the GREYHOUND GRG line differs from the previous GRK1FM version through a shorter bushing profile and improved grip geometry. In practice this means more confident single-handed connector seating with limited visibility — when setting up microphones in the dark before a show or working in the tight space around a stagebox. Nickel-plated contacts maintain stable, low contact resistance through repeated mate-unmate cycles, relevant when the cable is in continuous rotation as part of a rental inventory or a regular rehearsal kit.
