KETRON SD40 is a professional arranger module and multimedia player, the expander version of the acclaimed Ketron SD7 keyboard. In a compact housing with a colour touch screen it offers the same sound and arranger resources as the keyboard, making it a mobile command centre for a musician playing with a digital piano, MIDI accordion or master keyboard.
A mobile arranger for any controller
A keyboardist, accordionist or guitarist often needs the full arranger sound without hauling an entire keyboard. The SD40 provides 260 styles with a library of more than 300 Latin percussion grooves and 200 Audio Drums, synchronised to the internal clock. Pianist, Bassist, Accordion and Guitarist play modes automatically configure the MIDI channels and settings for a specific controller, so the instrument adapts to the musician rather than the other way around. With a MIDI guitar you can drive the arranger by playing chords directly on the instrument.
Style Modeling and the player on stage
Stiff factory styles are a common limitation of cheaper modules. The Style Modeling function lets you instantly swap Audio Drums, grooves, bass lines, piano, guitar and orchestral parts from the internal library, building your own arrangements with rhythmic synchronisation intact. The built-in player handles MP3, MP4, WAV and MIDI with crossfade, lead mute and lyrics or karaoke display on screen or an external monitor. An XLR microphone input, a 3-voice Voicetron and a guitar input with DSP effects cover both vocalist and instrumentalist needs.
