Harrison Audio 32Classic MS Mix Strip
Choose options
Harrison Audio 32Classic MS Mix Strip is an uncompromising 1U analog channel strip that delivers the complete signal path of the flagship 32Classic recording console to a rackmount format. Combining a legendary transformer-coupled preamplifier, classic EQ, and character-rich filters with unique hardware summing capabilities, it provides a highly versatile front-end and mixing tool tailored for modern hybrid studio workflows.
Transformer Weight and Musical Equalization
The core of the input stage is a microphone preamplifier coupled with a premium Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer, delivering 70 dB of clean gain. This topology is revered for its gentle roll-off at the frequency extremes and mild phase shift, imparting a deep, musical richness that counteracts digital sterility. Frequency shaping is handled by the classic 4-band parametric equalizer featuring a Proportional Q design. When paired with the 12 dB/octave High-Pass and Low-Pass filters—specifically the HPF with its signature 3 dB resonant peak—engineers gain a powerful tool to aggressively carve out mud or boost presence without inducing harshness or phase smear.
Integrated Mix Bus and Advanced Routing
Managing hardware inserts across multiple channels can bottleneck hybrid mixing sessions. The 32Classic MS solves this by incorporating an integrated stereo mix bus directly into the channel strip. Utilizing the rear-panel summing connectors, multiple MS units can be cascaded to create a premium analog sidecar, perfect for processing drum shells or summing submixes completely outside the box. Furthermore, a balanced hardware insert point and dedicated Pre/Post-Fader Direct Outputs ensure seamless integration with external outboard compressors and multitrack audio interfaces.
