Golden Age Project R1 Tube Active is an active ribbon microphone that blends classic ribbon warmth with a high-output tube stage for modern studios. With its figure-eight polar pattern, wide sweet spots, and excellent side rejection, it excels on vocals, guitars, brass, room miking, and stereo techniques.

A 50 mm, ultra-thin aluminum ribbon is paired with a low-noise tube buffer and transformer-balanced output to deliver strong signal level, rich harmonics, and very high SPL handling. The active design ensures consistent performance with a broad range of preamps, while the included external power supply provides stable operation in demanding sessions.
