Gainlab Audio Empress 2x3-Band Tube Equalizer is a two-channel passive tube equalizer with three bands for each channel.
The goal of developing the Empress 2x3-Band Tube Equalizer was to improve the classic Pultec EQP-1 concept from Pulse Techniques. An additional mid-range filter was added between the low and high frequency bands to increase versatility in modern music. The possibility of simultaneous cutting and boosting in the Low and High Frequency bands was retained to provide familiar "tricks". In these bands, the center cut/boost frequency can also be shifted relative to each other.
The Empress 2x3-Band Tube Equalizer is suitable from recording to mastering or for any other equalization task. It can be said that it dominates the entire frequency range and in most cases sounds excellent even under extreme conditions.
