Focusrite Red 8Line — a 58-input/64-output Thunderbolt 3 interface with two Red Evolution mic preamps, eight balanced line I/O on DB25 and built-in Dante networking, built as an audio hub for studios running several formats at once.
Beyond Thunderbolt 3 and dual mini-DigiLink for Pro Tools|HD, Red 8Line offers 32 channels of Dante on the Brooklyn II chipset with 0.25 ms network latency, 16-channel ADAT (at 48 kHz) and stereo S/PDIF. 24-bit/192 kHz conversion using a parallel path summing architecture delivers 119 dB of dynamic range on the A-D side and 121 dB on the D-A side, so signal quality stays consistent no matter which input the signal arrives through.
One hub, five buses, no repatching
Two Thunderbolt 3 ports with Focusrite's session-proven drivers let you daisy-chain plug-in accelerators, hard drives or a 4K display, and switching between Pro Tools|HD and a Thunderbolt-connected DAW happens without reconfiguring audio settings. On top of that, the 32-channel Dante network can be expanded with RedNet gear or third-party devices such as Neve, Yamaha or DiGiCo, while ADAT and S/PDIF cover older digital equipment without extra external converters.
Multi-channel monitoring and instant instrument access
Built-in monitor control handles mono, stereo and multi-channel configurations up to 7.1.2, and pairing with the RedNet R1 controller adds ready-made presets for immersive setups including Dolby Atmos. Three LCD displays show precise metering for any input or output block plus the monitor and headphone outputs, two independent high-current headphone outputs drive high-impedance headphones, and two front-panel instrument inputs stay accessible even with the unit rack-mounted.
