The EVE Audio TS108 (ThunderStorm series) is a highly articulate, 8-inch active studio subwoofer meticulously designed to flawlessly extend the low-frequency response of your nearfield monitoring setup. Engineered to be the perfect companion for smaller EVE SilverCone monitors (like the SC204, SC205, and SC207), this subwoofer relieves your main speakers from the exhausting task of reproducing massive low-end transients. The most striking technological advancement of the EVE Audio TS108 is its complete abandonment of the traditional bass-reflex tube in favor of a custom passive radiator. Mounted on the bottom of the compact cabinet and firing downwards, this highly efficient design completely eradicates the audible air turbulence noises (port chuffing) and disruptive pipe resonances that frequently plague standard ported subwoofers. Furthermore, it significantly minimizes unwanted subsonic excursions and intermodulation distortion. Powered by a robust, highly efficient 150W PWM (Class-D) amplifier, the proprietary 8-inch woofer delivers tight, punchy, and distortion-free bass with a maximum sound pressure level of 105 dB.
Signal management is precisely handled by a high-resolution DSP engine powered by premium Burr-Brown A/D converters. Crucially, the DSP processing only affects the subwoofer itself—the signal passed through to the satellite monitors remains completely analog, ensuring your mix is never subjected to unnecessary A/D/A conversion. The unit features comprehensive, user-friendly controls: a switchable satellite filter (Full Range or 80Hz), phase inversion (0°/180°), and highly variable crossover frequencies (60Hz to 140Hz) plus a dedicated LFE channel for film production. Adding immense convenience, the TS108 includes a wireless infrared remote control, allowing you to fine-tune both the sub and the master system volume directly from your mix position.
