Model:S amples from Elektron is a compact, 6-track sample player with sequencer , which in terms of design and concept opens up new possibilities. The new, flat housing together with the new Display side and the doubled set of encoders clearly distinguish it from previous Elektron instruments. Factory-installed are 300 drum and synth sounds , but these can be replaced and 1GB samples can be loaded internally from User via USB . The sounds supplied in the project can be organised into drum kits on six tracks and directly edited and processed using 15 knobs.

The

parameters of the playback, filter, LFO and effects functions allow you to instantly conjure up new variations of loaded material.

Familiar

:Of course, the typical Elektron sequencer is on board again: six audio or MIDI tracks. Microtiming, swinging, individual step lengths from 1-64 steps per track allow you to create exciting patterns even beyond the 4/4 grid. Of course, you don't have to miss your beloved Parameterlocks either! As Elektron's first device, Model:Samples has all the relevant parameters right on the surface, so there's no need to jump between menu pages. The compact, lightweight design will find its place almost anywhere and is ready to use just seconds after loading. It is recommended to remember the MIDI adapter cable when moving to a new location.

In the current version or 1.02 , it is also possible to assign an individual sample (sample lock) to each step. How this works can be seen in the video "Model:Samples Tutorial - Sample Locks" below.
