for Eurorack format modular synthesisers. The module is the logarithmic form of the Doepfer A-130 module. For audio applications, an exponential VCA (A-130) is normally used, for control applications a logarithmic VCA (A-131). However, this is not a mandatory requirement. Each VCA has two audio inputs with pre-amplifiers whose summed mix is amplified depending on the control voltages and the position of the gain control. The gain of the VCA determines the control voltages at the CV inputs and the position of the gain control, which is used to adjust the basic gain of the VCA. The module is also suitable for processing slowly varying control signals (DC coupled inputs/outputs).
