Burl Audio B16-BMB3-M3-1616 — a ready-made AD/DA system in a B16 Mothership 3 chassis, fitted with a BMB3 Dante motherboard and a matched pair of BAD16 and BDA16 cards, giving sixteen analog inputs and sixteen analog outputs in a single two-slot 2U unit.
Input conversion runs through transformer-coupled, discrete class-A circuitry with the BX8 transformer, while output conversion uses a discrete class-A path with the BOPA14 op-amp. The BMB3 motherboard provides two Dante Ethernet ports carrying up to 64 I/O channels at 44.1, 48 or 96kHz, and up to 32 channels at 176.4 or 192kHz.
Native integration with a Dante network
Studios and live systems built around a Dante network usually need a separate converter to bring analog sources and outputs into the existing infrastructure, which complicates routing and adds another link in the chain.
