Sub1 targets intimate gigs – coffee shops, weddings, acoustic sets, or crowds of 100 to 150 people – where a full-size Sub2 would be overkill, with headroom and deeper bandwidth going largely unused. Its 40–180 Hz (-3 dB) range covers bass guitar, kick drum, and vocal fundamentals well without reaching into the sub-sonic territory typical of club music, where the Sub2 remains the better call. The 480 W Class-D amplifier keeps dynamics under control without over-specifying the rig for the room it's actually playing.
One cable and less weight for a solo load-in
SubMatch connectivity carries power, audio, and automatic EQ settings from the L1 Pro32 over a single cable, so the rig needs one power outlet instead of two. At 15.5 kg with an optimized center of gravity, Sub1 is the unit a solo performer can carry in one trip alongside a satellite speaker, without needing a second pair of hands at the car. Four interlocking feet let you add a second Sub1 and switch on Cardioid mode if a room ends up needing more bass, without trading up to a larger model.
