8-voice desk clonefromJapan presented with Deckard's Dream MkII A modernnew version of the popular Yamaha CS-80 classic and the second generation of this unique synthesiser. The eight-voice synth features an all-analogue signal path and two layers per voice, which can be adjusted in parallel on the control panel using sliders. Each voice consists of twice (per layer) a square-wave oscillator with PWM, sawtooth and sine wave, 12 dB low-pass and high-pass filters with resonance, two ADSRs for the filters and VCA, and sophisticated control of these elements via the keyboard,Velocity,PitchbendorAftertouchraz. Between both layers a fade is possible, in unison it becomes really powerful thanks to the 16 oscillators. Thanks toAutotune-Generators the tones are always correctly tuned. A global filter complements both voice layers. Pitchbend, aAftertouchnawet polyphonic processing and performance, one of the special features of its 1977 predecessor! The Black Corporation Deckard's Dream MkII differs from the first version by having a much flatter chassis, making itDeckard's Dreamis finally ready for the desktop. As it comes with wooden side panels and 19" rack ears, you have a choice of where this gem should find its place.
Starring:Those who are familiar with the film 'Blade Runner' and appreciate it especially for its timeless film music will have great pleasure with Deckard's Dream and know where this instrument came from. Likewise, many of composer Vangelis's works have been recorded and immortalised with the Yamaha CS-80.
