In addition to the 6 standard microphone/line inputs , including XLR combo jacks and phantom power, there are 2 Retro/Super channels with variable HMX Mosfet Saturator and Vintage Iron Transformer Drive for a true 'Best British' retro sound. The discrete JFET D.I inputs are ideal for connecting electric guitar , keyboards or bass, offering the same unmistakable sound that has already given the iD22 and ASP880 a worldwide following. The excellent 118 dB Burr Brown converters guarantee the best possible conversion of all signals with incredible detail. Digital output in ADAT format , including SMUX, allows up to 8 channels even at 96 kHz, making the ASP800 the perfect complement to existing recording setups such as the iD22 or iD14, and allowing you to bring any session to world-class levels. The discrete preamps have been reworked in collaboration with Trevor Stride (SSL, Focal, etc.) and offer additional gain and fantastic sound with new tricks.
