4-channel preamplifieris a high-quality, compact 4-channel microphone preamplifier. The unit has an internal 48V phantom power supply that can be switched on and off for each channel and -20dB switches that affect both the microphone inputs and the front panel Hi-Z instrument inputs . These Hi-Z inputs can handle levels up to +20dBu, making them ideal for keyboards and other high-impedance instruments. In addition, these front-panel Hi-Z inputs are connected directly to operational amplifiers, so even low-level inputs, such as guitar or bass, can be amplified without the use of a DI box. Input gain and output level can be set separately for each channel. In addition,
a3:1 option can be used to select the gain ratio from the 2520 op-amps to the preamps, changing the sound accordingly.
