high-performance pad and keyboard controller, the Akai Professional MPK 261 combines deep software integration, streamlined workflows and the technology of the legendary MPC workstations in a single device. Each model in the MPK series offers comprehensive control of virtual instruments, effects plug-ins and DAWs. 61 semi-weighted keys with aftertouch, 8 assignable knobs, faders and switches, 16 MPC-style pads with RGB feedback and integrated transport buttons are among the MPK261's unique features. Three banks increase the number of knobs, faders and switches to 24, while four pad banks increase the number of pads to 64. With plug-and-play functionality and USB power, the MPK261 can be quickly and easily connected to a PC or Mac. There is also a power-saving mode for iOS operation via the Camera Connection Kit. The controller features five melodic lessons for a short time.

Music production softwareThe Akai

MPK261 comes with an advanced suite of music production software - including Ableton Live Lite and MPC Essentials. With Ableton Live, musicians and producers can spontaneously compose, record, remix and edit musical ideas in a seamless audio/MIDI environment.
MPC Essentials is software for sample triggering and groove/beat production. It can be integrated directly into any DAW, such as Ableton Live Lite, and also works independently. In addition, MPC Essentials increases the size of the electro banks by a further 8 and offers 4 samples and insert effects per electro.
The new VIP 3.1 revolutionises hardware/software, giving musicians and producers unparalleled access to their VST instrument and effect collections. Artists can now assign all MIDI controller controls (buttons, encoders, faders, buttons) to VIP parameters for easy integration and streamlined workflow.

Virtual InstrumentsMPK261

includes a high-end piano instrument and two virtual synthesisers. SONiVOX Eighty-Eight Ensemble is a virtual replica of a Steinway 9' CD 327 piano with additional orchestral and synthetic instruments. AIR Music Tech Hybrid 3 is a versatile virtual synthesiser that combines the warm sonic qualities of legendary analogue synthesisers with the possibilities of the digital age. With SONiVOX Twist, a spectral Morphing Synthesiser, sounds can be created quickly through a clear user interface.
