It is optimised for smaller and medium-sized control rooms in sound or design studios.

Innovative technologyThe

woofer

used

is

a

newly developed 7-inch woofer that operates in the frequency range from 35 Hz to 3 kHz and provides a dynamic foundation without distortion. Combined with the newly developed S-ART tweeter and HPS waveguide, the S2V provides precise, linear sound reproduction with a large sweet spot size.Two Class D ICE amplifiers with 300 W for the woofer and 50 W for the tweeter provide a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB SPL per pair.

The

cabinet is made of vibration-resistant material and has rounded edges to minimise unwanted resonance even at high levels.

High-performance DSP moduleThe

newly developed S-series DSP board provides extremely linear frequency

response.

With two parametric level filters and six additional fully parametric EQs, the S2V monitor can be adapted to the individual acoustic conditions of the control room. In addition, the DSP offers limiter-based tweeter amplifier protection mechanisms, AES3 digital inputs and various options for future optional extensions. The digital connection to the computer can be easily made via the USB port. This means that future software updates can be easily transferred.

The ELE (ELE = Extended Linear Excursion) bass loudspeaker is a special design in combination with the S Series cabinet and bass reflex system.All S Series models are based on the latest evolution of the famous ADAM X-ART tweeter. In the case of the new product series, the hand-held tweeter in Berlin has been manufactured with even greater precision and with even more stringent production controls - hence the new name S-ART.Designed specifically for the S series, the high-performance DSP processor offers perfectly tuned transitions for optimum frequency response and a wider dynamic range than traditional analogue crossovers without compromising resolution.

With extremely linear sound reproduction, excellent impulse response and precise stereo imaging, the S2V is suitable for demanding near-field tasks for sound and design studios, television applications, but also for ambitious home recording.

REMOTE SOFTWARE CONTROLMS

Control allows ADAM customers to control all parameters and EQ settings of the high-performance S-series DSP from a Windows or Mac computer. The software also allows installation of DSP firmware updates with a single click. Registered ADAM Audio customers can download the new software and the latest firmware in the new MyADAM user area on the company's website free of charge.
