Joranalogue Mix 3 is a compact yet extremely functional analog mixer in Eurorack format. Combining a mixer and four VCAs in its 6HP enclosure, it offers a unique blend of size and capabilities. High-quality signal paths ensure extremely low noise and distortion levels, wide dynamic range, and precise gain control.
Each of the three main channels features an exponential response, which is more natural for audio signals and better aligns with human hearing characteristics compared to linear response. Additionally, all paths are DC-coupled, allowing for processing of control signals as well.
The main feature of Mix 3 is its three voltage control inputs, which not only allow for signal level adjustments but also amplification up to +20 dB. When using CV, the corresponding knob acts as an attenuator.
When overloaded, Mix 3 exhibits clean symmetrical limiting, creating a dense, saturated sound with even harmonics. This enables the module to be used as a three-channel distortion with voltage control.
Additional features include signal presence indicators, an auxiliary fourth input, overall output level adjustment via CV, and a jumper for selecting linear or -20 dB output levels.
