Heritage Audio has introduced the OHM Amp, a new headphone amplifier that is the first in the world to offer impedance matching. In addition to supporting balanced and unbalanced line-level inputs, the OHM Amp features a built-in Bluetooth receiver and a choice of six impedance settings to ensure optimal performance across a wide range of headphones.
At the NAMM Show 2025, held from January 21–25, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, Heritage Audio unveiled their latest product — the OHM Amp. This innovative headphone amplifier with impedance matching capabilities was enthusiastically received by audio professionals, showcasing the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality audiophile solutions.
Key Features of the Heritage Audio OHM Amp
- Adjustable Impedance: A rotary switch allows selection from six impedance values: Low, 32, 30, 80, 250, and 600 Ω.
- High-Quality Components: The amplifier is based on the design of the Heritage RAM System 2000 and 5000 monitor controllers, employing low-noise, high-performance components.
- Bluetooth and Input Options: The Bluetooth receiver supports high-quality codecs such as APTX, APTX LL, AAC, APTX HD, and SBC. Balanced and unbalanced line-level inputs are available via XLR/TRS combo and RCA connectors.
- Dual Headphone Outputs: Quarter-inch and 3.5mm headphone outputs on the front panel eliminate the need for adapters.
- Alps Blue Velvet: The output level knob utilizes a precision Alps “Blue Velvet” potentiometer for smooth and accurate adjustments.
- Additional Features: Line-level TRS outputs allow chaining multiple units and using the OHM Amp as a high-quality Bluetooth receiver. A threaded mounting point enables microphone stand attachment.
The rear panel of the OHM Amp includes XLR/TRS combo and RCA inputs, a Bluetooth antenna, and TRS line outputs, providing versatility for both studio and mobile configurations.
