With drastically lower moving mass and no thermal compression from a heated coil, the Ribbon driver maintains consistent high-frequency output at levels where compression drivers start rolling off dynamically. The practical result is audibly cleaner cymbals, vocal sibilants and spatial harmonics at working levels close to the system's maximum SPL. Two 8\" aaCRAAFT bass-reflex drivers handle the MF\/LF range down to 65 Hz (-10 dB). The passive 2.3 kHz crossover with PTC driver protection matches the two sections without an outboard processor.
