A 0.55 inch supercardioid condenser capsule focuses on sound from the front, and the 24-bit converter up to 96 kHz with a built-in preamp needs no interface. See video gear in our Warsaw showroom.

Sound from the front of the frame, not from the whole scene

A microphone in a camera or a phone picks up noise from every side. The supercardioid pattern of the Mic Video rejects most sound from the sides, so the person in front of the lens sounds clearer. The response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity is -40 dB (10 mV/Pa) and the maximum level is 125 dB SPL. You set gain with a thumbwheel across a 47 dB range, and a multicolor LED shows the level.

Phone, computer and camera from one microphone

The Micro-USB connector links the microphone to iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and PC, and Lightning, USB-C and OTG cables are included. A 3.5 mm TRS output feeds a DSLR camera that has a microphone input, and in this mode power comes from a CR1632 battery (not included) that lasts over 50 hours. Magnetic mounting to a phone, a camera hot shoe mount, a 3.5 mm headphone output and a direct monitoring button complete the set.

KEY FEATURES

Digital shotgun microphone, 0.55 inch capsule, supercardioid

24-bit up to 96 kHz, built-in preamp, 47 dB gain range

Headphone output and a direct monitoring button

3.5 mm TRS output for DSLR cameras (CR1632 battery, over 50 hours)

Magnetic phone mounting and a camera hot shoe mount included

iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, PC and DSLR cameras with a microphone input

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Type: electret condenser digital shotgun microphone

Capsule: 0.55 in, polar pattern: supercardioid

Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz

Max SPL: 125 dB, sensitivity: -40 dB / 10 mV/Pa

Gain: 47 dB range

Audio: 24-bit A/D and D/A, 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz

Connectors: Micro-USB, headphone output 1/8 in TRS, camera output 1/8 in TRS

Power: USB, in DSLR mode a 3 V CR1632 battery (not included), over 50 hours

Dimensions: 45 x 130 x 55 mm, weight: 65 g

Compatibility: iPhone and iPad, Android 5 or later with USB audio, Mac, Windows (iRig driver for low latency), DSLR cameras with a 1/8 in input

Package: iRig Mic Video, Lightning to Micro-USB cable 16 cm, USB-C to Micro-USB cable 30 cm, Micro-USB OTG to Micro-USB cable 16 cm, 1/8 in TRS camera cable, hot shoe mount, windshield, 2 ferromagnetic plates
