It is powered by the connected device, so it needs no battery.

Pickup direction of your choice

The capsule selector chooses front, rear or figure-8, so you record yourself, a guest across from you or two people on either side. The gain buttons span 48 dB, and the built-in preamp and the 24-bit converter, up to 96 kHz, need no separate interface. The 3.5 mm headphone output and the direct monitor switch let you check the recording, and a multicolor LED shows status and level. The frequency response runs from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, and the maximum level is 125 dB SPL.

KEY FEATURES

Ultracompact digital microphone, 50 x 27 x 24 mm, 25 g

Dual 0.55 inch electret capsules, front and rear cardioid and figure-8

24-bit up to 96 kHz, built-in preamp, 48 dB gain range

Headphone output with direct monitoring

Magnetic mounting to a phone or tablet, 2 plates included

iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and PC, Lightning, USB-C and Micro-USB cables included

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Type: electret condenser digital microphone, dual 0.55 in capsules

Polar patterns: front cardioid, rear cardioid, figure-8

Frequency response: 40 Hz to 20 kHz

Max SPL: 125 dB, sensitivity: -40 dB / 10 mV/Pa

Gain: 48 dB range, built-in preamp

Audio: 24-bit A/D and D/A, 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz

Connector: Micro-USB, headphone output 1/8 in TRS

Power: from the connected device, no battery

Dimensions: 50 x 27 x 24 mm, weight: 25 g

Package: iRig Mic Cast HD, Lightning to Micro-USB cable 16 cm, USB-C to Micro-USB cable 30 cm, Micro-USB OTG to Micro-USB cable 16 cm, windshield, 2 ferromagnetic plates
