Waldorf Quantum MK2
Waldorf Quantum MK2 is a hybrid digital-analog synthesizer with a 61-key semi-weighted Fatar keyboard, 3 stereo digital oscillators with 5 synthesis algorithms, 2 analog filters per voice at 24/12 dB, 59 GB of internal memory for samples, an extensive modulation matrix, and 10,000 presets.
Immerse yourself in incredible sonic realms with the updated legendary Waldorf Quantum MK2 - a hybrid digital-analog synthesizer that opens new frontiers in synthesis and musical expression.
A quantum leap in polyphonic synthesis is achieved through powerful digital oscillators with five synthesis algorithms each: Waldorf-style wavetables with new wavetable synthesis capabilities from audio and speech synthesis, classic waveforms with detuning and hard sync, granular/multi-sampler, resonator, and the innovative Kernel with FM and wavetable modulations at audio frequencies.
In the analog section, 8 powerful voices with their own 24/12 dB filters can be further processed with a rich arsenal of digital filters, bit crushers, distortions, and other algorithms. The flexible routing system allows changing the order of analog and digital modules for an unimaginable variety of sounds.
Unprecedented modulation and sound movement capabilities are provided by 6 multi-mode LFOs, 6 ADSR/Loop envelopes, the innovative multi-mode Komplex modulator, and a 40-slot modulation matrix for total control over all parameters. In addition to global settings, all modulators have a polyphonic mode for individual behavior of each note.
The new 61-key semi-weighted Fatar keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch allows an unprecedented level of expressiveness, modulating not only the overall sound envelope but also each individual note across many parameters. Unison, chord, latch modes, and microtonal settings open up new musical horizons.
The powerful effects section includes a dual-timbral structure with 5-slot multi-effects racks for each timbre (phasers, flangers, choruses, reverbs, EQs, etc.), a master compressor, and a clean sequencer with step quantization to musical scales and parameter automation.
All of this is housed in an elegant ergonomic enclosure with a thoughtful control panel made of aluminum knobs and controllers surrounding a high-resolution touch display. The visual environment includes spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes at various stages, and individual RGB lighting for each control eases orientation in complex modulation chains and settings.
In addition to the display, for even finer control, any parameter can be assigned to the pitch wheel, modulation wheel, key pressure, or MIDI controllers. Up to 10,000 presets are arranged in a convenient hierarchy of banks, attributes, and authors for instant recall of any sound. The built-in sample editor allows loading and editing multi-samples directly from SD/USB.
Experience unparalleled depth and boundless creativity with Waldorf Quantum MK2 - the pinnacle of hybrid synthesis and limitless sonic landscapes. Enjoy the fruits of years of work by top sound engineers and a rich factory patch bank from world-renowned sound designers.
