Ornament-8 is

sequencer with a completely different concept to most sequencers on the market. Designed to interact with the Soma Pulsar-23 and Lyra-8 instruments (via a sensor adapter), the Ornament-8 is a creative control centre between these instruments and even the Eurorack modular system. Without its own tempo source, this sequencer relies on an external clock such as the LFO from the Pulsar-23. Instead of tracks, we have cells (eight in total) that generate switching states, control voltages and hold times. In order for the paths to interact and/or cycle, the corresponding contacts are wired together with alligator clips. Hence the nickname 'organismic sequencer'-in order for it to become a whole, it is necessary, as in nature, to connect the individual components together so that their sum forms a larger whole. How extensive this unit is depends on the user.
