Syntakt from Elektron is a new generation of hybrid drum computer and high-performance synthesiser.


Syntakt is your new and fresh source for synth and percussion sounds. Syntakt features a plethora of new digital and analogue sounds in various categories, including Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Cymbal/Hi Hat (including metal sounds), Percussion, Clap, Tonal Synth, Rimshot, Dual VO Synth, Impulse, Noise Generator. The given sounds correspond to different machines, of which there are currently 37.

The digital machines also include effects such as distortion, filters and LFOs in digital progression. Analogue machines, on the other hand, have the same effects, but done in analogue.

Syntakt is not just a source of drum sounds or a groovebox. We also classify a syntakt as a synthesiser because it has a VCO, a tonal synthesis and up to five sound synthesis machines, one of which is analogue.

The syntakt has a sequencer, which we can program in any way we want, including with real time, hard timing and the famous parameter lock. Syntakt offers 128 patterns, each of which can have up to 64 tracks, or 4 bars. Here, the software also offers shuffle, micro timing, probability triggering or musical scales of up to 36. And for the available twelve tracks, we can customise four MIDI tracks and send signals with compatible external devices.
