Introducing Distortion Effects
Take your sound sculpting to the next level with the new Distortion category in PolyBrute, offering 7 types of distortion to enrich your already extensive array of modulation, delays, and reverbs. The 7 new distortion modes include: Subtle Tape, Classic Distortion, Soft Clip, Worn Out Tape, Germanium, BitCrusher, and DownSample.
Flexible Effect Routing
Delve even deeper into the Arturia PolyBrute signal chain and route effects to tailor them to your sound design process. Both Insert and Send modes can now be adjusted for order. Here are some examples:
- In "Insert" mode, a modulation (or distortion) effect can be placed as follows:
- Mod > Delay > Rev
- Delay > Mod > Rev
- Delay > Rev > Mod
- In "Send" mode, a modulation (or distortion) effect can be placed as follows:
- Pre Send
- Send Wet
- Post Return
Enhanced Tuning
A wide range of tuning options allows you to fine-tune the musical role of PolyBrute in your projects, from adjusting individual oscillator tuning to keyboard transposition, tailoring it to a specific composition or style. Unison detuning capabilities have also been improved.
New Stereo Layer Mode
Assign the left channel to one voice and the right channel to another to add a natural spatial dimension to the PolyBrute sound.
Over 350 New Presets
The Arturia PolyBrute library has been completely transformed with new and improved presets, emphasizing its expressiveness, analog power, and new features such as Distortion and Stereo Layer mode.
PolyBrute Connect
Communication between Arturia PolyBrute and its software counterpart is now faster, smoother, and more intuitive, also incorporating other new features in version 3.0.
Workflow and Expression Enhancements
Arturia has implemented requested enhancements for PolyBrute users, ranging from reloading the last saved preset upon startup to displaying more features and parameters in real-time on the screen, including:
- Added the Duo Pitch Bend function, allowing Pitch Bender action only on the last held three notes for enhanced expression effects; Ability to load the last saved preset on startup;
- Arturia PolyBrute can now send Program Change messages;
- Glide is now supported during play with Arpeggiator;
- Unison can now be played polyphonically if the Unison count is less than the maximum polyphony;
- Displaying snapshots from a given time;
- Displaying the split point, LFO3 shape, and mod envelope delay on the screen;
- Displaying the controller modes for the ribbon controller and Morphée on the respective screens;
- Improved screen responsiveness during saving;
- Clean modulations in patches created using Generate;
- Step recording view can now follow the recorded steps.
