Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio black is a DSP reverb module with 7 knobs, CV inputs, stereo and mono inputs and outputs.

Desmodus Versio offers a wide range of possibilities for creating sound textures, from delay and reverb to distorted echo.

The Blend parameter sets the balance between the clean and processed signal. The bipolar Tone knob filters the reverb contour, turning it left controls the low-pass filter, right controls the high-pass filter, and center position disables the filter. Regen sets the amount of feedback. Additionally, the FSU parameter maximizes the Regen knob and disables the reverb input when a button is pressed or when a high gate signal is received.

Speed controls the speed of the internal LFO and can modulate delays. The modulation amount is controlled by the bipolar Index parameter with a sine or arbitrary LFO shape. The reverb delay time is set by the Size parameter, while Dense controls the interval between delay lines.

The reverb style switch can be set to LIM (clean reverb), DST (applies slight saturation for a more distorted sound), SHM (adds a one-octave pitch shift that feeds back into the input). The second switch changes the delay line response to modulations of panel controls and can be set to BND (crossfade delay time), LRP (slowly changes delay line length), JMP (quickly changes delay line length).

All CV inputs are designed for 0-5 V, and the potentiometers act as offsets and sum with the input CV. The FSU gate input responds to signals above +2 V. Audio inputs limit voltage to around 16 V peak-to-peak and are normalized, allowing for mono input and stereo output. USB connectivity enables firmware updates, expanding module capabilities.
